IK Viljan

IK Viljan was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to IK Viljan, 110 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof IK Viljan could be found in Group 14 together with SC Binningen, Dänischenhagen/Kiel, MTV, Iconz Elite and Ale United. IK Viljan continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Ullensaker Kisa with 0-3. In the Final, AFC Eskilstuna won over Swindon Town FITC Red and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Viljan comes from Strängnäs which lies approximately 350 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Strängnäs does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Barkarö SK, Skiljebo SK, Enköpings SK, IFK Eskilstuna, Eskilstuna City FK, Jäders IF, Håbo FF, IK Franke, FK Bromma and Eskilstuna United DFF).
